The Infinite Kind has released Moneydance 2015, a major upgrade to the company’s personal financial management application. The new version brings a significant redesign to the user interface, giving it a simpler, more modern aesthetic and adding high-resolution graphics for Retina displays. A new storage system fully encrypts data (including attachments) and the app now supports syncing your data to Dropbox or any shared folder (the capability to add another computer to the peer-to-peer syncing system will be added in coming weeks). Moneydance 2015 for the Mac is complemented by a free universal iOS app that also syncs transactions to Dropbox. If you have a license for Moneydance 2014, you can upgrade to Moneydance 2015 for free. If you purchased Moneydance 2012 or earlier, you can upgrade to Moneydance 2015 for $24.99. A free trial with no feature limitations is available if you want to test switching from another personal finance application. ($49.99 new, free update, 70.9 MB, 10.7+)

I use both Quicken 2015 (Windows only) and Moneydance (Mac and Windows) in parallel, double recording because comparing balances and reports helps me spot occasional data and date entry mistakes that I make. I have been on Quicken since 1988 for DOS and on Moneydance for close to 4 years. Here is my take.

Atlassian Sourcetree is a free Git and Mercurial client for Mac. Moneydance 2015 / FDIntro. Updated 2015-01-10. Moneydance 2015! Posted on 2015.01.06. With the holidays behind us, we’re thrilled to announce a major update to our favourite money management app: Moneydance 2015! This version brings loads of new changes, but here are some highlights. Moneydance is a personal finance software that feels really similar to Quicken, but it offers strong tools and features that function exactly the same for both Mac and PC users. Honestly, I can’t tell you how many Mac users I’ve talked to that have complained about Quicken.

Moneydance 2015 and 2017 is the a version of the popular finance package. It contained a large number of changes and once you have upgraded you can not go back to the 2014 version without some work. Make sure you are ready to upgrade and backup your 2014 files before doing it. Moneydance 2017 replaced 2015 but did not change the file format. Recently The Infinite Kind has introduced Moneydance 2019. Though the file format has not changed there have been some changes under the covers that require changes to the Extensions presented here.
The Wiki/site is split into a number of different areas:
- Information about the Moneydance Personal Finance package (see Moneydance)
